Parking Areas
A student's decision to bring a car on campus should be well informed, as parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis; parking on campus requires a paid parking permit. First-year resident students are discouraged from bringing cars to campus. For information on how to obtain a parking permit, see Parking Permits. Once obtained, the parking permit sticker must be affixed to the inside of the windshield on the front driver side. Cars parked in unauthorized spaces or areas will be towed at the owner's expense. The student parking permit must be displayed in all parking areas including all residence hall parking lots and street-side spaces on Harborside Boulevard, with the exception of designated and posted faculty/staff parking areas.
The Downcity Campus parking garage located on Pine Street is available 6am–11pm. Students must use their university-issued ID card to gain access to this facility. Parking fees for hourly or daily usage are posted at the entrance to the facility. A limited number of semester/yearly passes are also available for purchase by undergraduate students. Any vehicle discovered in the garage after 11pm may be removed at the owner's expense and/or incur a $50 overnight storage fee.
All electric vehicle charging stations/spaces are for electric vehicles only while utilizing the charging equipment.
