Parking Permits

All vehicles parked on university property must have a current, valid permit. Failure to have a university parking permit can and will result in the vehicle receiving citations and towing enforcement at the owner's expense.

Permits are nontransferable and are valid only for the registered vehicle. If a student changes vehicles for any reason, the student is required to notify Preferred Parking immediately or be subject to towing and fines.

Permits are valid for the lot and area specified only. Vehicles parked on campus must be in a marked space. Vehicles parked in flagrant violation of parking rules (such as blocking fire lanes) will be towed without notice at the owner's expense.

Permits are purchased online. You can find more information about parking and permits on the Charlotte Campus Transportation webpage.

Once a permit is issued, the vehicle operator must possess and maintain, at all times

  1. a valid driver’s license
  2. a valid vehicle registration
  3. valid proof of insurance

If any of these items become invalid, students are required to notify Preferred Parking Service. Failure to do so shall result in immediate revocation of parking privileges.
