From time to time, the university may elect to provide university-sponsored transportation for certain events such as educational events, field trips, athletic events and competitions. When university transportation is provided and a student elects not to take university-sponsored transportation, that student is solely responsible for reviewing in advance (and accepting) any risks such transportation might pose, including but not limited to the safety of the location, condition of the vehicle, and skill and decision-making of any drivers. The university is not responsible or liable for any damage or injuries that may occur in their private vehicle or any other non-university-owned, rented or leased vehicle.
The university does not offer students transportation to the airport; however, there are third-party shuttles which offer affordable rates. Transportation to and from Miami International Airport is available through Super Shuttle. Go Airport Shuttle offers transportation to and from Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
Discounted bus passes from Miami-Dade Transit are available from the bookstore. For maps, schedules and other information, visit their website.
The City of North Miami operates a free community bus service, NoMI Express, throughout portions of the city, including a stop near the entrance to the South Parking Lot (near the University Center). The service is available on a limited schedule. For more information, visit their website.
