Handbook Addendum

On April 1, 2025, the Student Health Insurance Program page was modified to reflect an updated policy regarding student health insurance.

On April 1, 2025, the Hazing Policy page was modified to reflect updates in the Hazing Policy.

On April 2, 2025, the Student Identity Verification page was added to the handbook. 

On April 7, 2025, the Involuntary Medical Withdrawal Policy page was modified to reflect updates in the policy. 

On April 22, 2025, the Drug and Alcohol Policy page was modified to reflect updates in the policy. 

On May 6, 2025, the Religious Accommodations Requests Policy and Procedures page was modified to reflect updates in the policy.

On May 7, 2025, the Commencement page was modified to add the following statement: “Any students behaving inappropriately (e.g., students who are visibly intoxicated, disruptive, etc.) may be removed from commencement in the university’s sole discretion.”

On May 28, 2025, the Academic Standing page was modified to update the academic standing standards for the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.

On June 10, 2025, the Conduct Review Process was modified to remove information regarding sanctions-only administrative hearings, which no longer apply.

On June 10, 2025, the Good Neighbor Policy page was modified to reflect the updated policy.

On June 16, 2025, the Academic Integrity page was modified to reflect the updated policy. 

On July 30, 2025, the Policy Governing Reporting of Misconduct and Whistleblowing page was modified to add the following statement: Reports about animal care and use can also be reported to IACUC@jwu.edu. Reports about animal care and use reported through other means will be routed to the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) chair and veterinarian.

On July 30, 2025, pages throughout the handbook were modified to note that the Counseling graduate program courses are not included in the eligibility criteria for the J2 program

On August 5, 2025, the Student Social Media and Print Communications Policy and Procedures page was modified to reflect the updated policy.

On August 7, 2025, the Transcripts page was modified to update the Holds section.

On August 28, 2025, the Holds page was modified to update the Balance Hold and Delinquent Loan Hold sections.

On August 28, 2025, the Transcripts page was modified to remove the Holds section.

On September 24, 2025, the Academic Standing page was modified to add the following information: Bachelor of Science students in Dietetics & Applied Nutrition need to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00 and students must earn a grade of C+ or higher in each of the 16 core Science and Nutrition courses.

On September 25, 2025, the Minors, Specializations and Certificates page was modified to include additional information regarding undergraduate certificates and micro-certificates.
